Method and data
What each status requires, who can attest it, what a reproduction establishes, and the data behind the registry's 962 entries. They cover the 51 tracked announcements, the 389 parts that break some of them down, and the dated archive of the "AI contributions to Erdős problems" wiki (522 entries).

Six statuses, and what each requires
Counts as of Oct 31, 2026, per entry: each result of a grouped publication counts as one.
- Formally verified 2
- A named third party has checked a machine proof, one written for proof-checking software such as Lean. A proof supplied only by the claimant is not enough.
- Peer reviewed 11
- Published in a journal or reviewed by named experts.
- Under review 3
- Public review under way, no verdict yet.
- Contested 14
- Sourced public objection, with no established refutation.
- Withdrawn 16
- Withdrawn or abandoned by its author, or marked incorrect by the reference source.
- Not evaluated 916
- No third-party evaluation found.
Named third-party rule
Formally verified requires a named third party. A co-claimant is never a third party, and a platform's own checker is not enough.
Reproductions
Format discoveria-rapport-reproduction/1. “Reproduced” requires exact equality, exact or certified arithmetic and a negative control that fails as expected. The scope comes in three lists:
portee.couvert : what the replay establishes.portee.suppose : what the claim assumes, not proved.portee.cite_non_reconstruit : what is cited without being replayed.Level of a reproduction: N1 when only DiscoverIA has replayed it, N2 after one external replay, N3 after two. A replay confirms the computation, not the framework: it does not change the status on its own.
| Entry | Result | Arithmetic | Level | Date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kakeya needle problem, discretised (n=128): area 0.10675394 | 961554009820195/9007199254740992 | exact rationals | N1 | Oct 12, 2026 |
| Kissing number in dimension 11: at least 604 spheres | 604 | exact integers | N1 | Oct 12, 2026 |
| Ring loading problem (15 pairs): 1.125 | 9/8 | exact rationals | N1 | Oct 12, 2026 |
| Two-deletion correcting code of length 16: at least 219 codewords | 219 | exact integers | N1 | Oct 12, 2026 |
Citing a dated status
A status holds as of the date it was observed. Cite it with that date: each entry gives its reference in APA and BibTeX, with the status and the day it was observed.
The history of each status stays visible: an observation is added, none is erased.
Data and API
All site data is published as JSON, computed at every build.
| Endpoint | Description | Items |
|---|---|---|
/api/avancees.json | Registry index (all categories) | 962 |
/api/avancees/<id>.json | One full entry, with card and events | 962 |
/api/statuts.json | Status vocabulary, counts, latest changes | 6 |
/api/frontieres.json | Frontiers index and current record | 44 |
/api/frontieres/<id>.json | Full series of one frontier | 44 |
/api/correspondances.json | Link, arXiv and Erdős number to ids (search) | 1,868 |
"comptes": { "decouverte": { "verifie-formellement": 2, "relu-par-pairs": 11, "en-examen": 3, "conteste": 14, "retire": 16, "non-evalue": 916 } }

For AI and developers
An AI assistant that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol, the protocol that connects an assistant to data sources) can query the registry directly: search for an announcement, read its status and history, cite a dated snapshot.
- Endpoint:
https://mcp.discoveria.ai/mcp(Streamable HTTP, no account or key). - Official MCP Registry:
ai.discoveria/discoveria. - Six read-only tools:
search_announcements(search),get_announcement(one announcement and its history),list_statuses(the six statuses),recent_changes(latest changes),get_frontier(frontiers),get_citation(APA or BibTeX citation). - Same data as the JSON API, under CC BY 4.0, at most 20 minutes behind it.
- Every answer states the date of the data, and that a status says where the evaluation stands, not whether the result is true.
From a web page, use the JSON API: the MCP server only accepts allowed origins.
